Trout Tournament 2008 By Connie Swindler On March 15th, Green Country Division held its annual Trout Tournament at Green Leaf State Park. The weather was blustery and COLD , with a stiff north wind which made for cold fishermen and on-lookers. Winners included: B.J. Murphy 1st place, Doug Moore 2nd place, Phil Adair 3rd place. Big fish was won by B.J. Murphy. The total weight of trout caught was 2 pounds and 5 ounces. John Duncan caught an impressive cat fish, but it could not be considered for prize monies. I cooked 5 gallons of Chili and provided the fixings. We ate quickly and got into our vehicles out of the wind and into some heat each hopeful that next year would be warmer.
